As an important universal automatic control element, shunt trip is mainly used for remote operation of low-voltage circuit breaker. The electromagnetic coil is connected in parallel at the power supply side of the low-voltage circuit breaker. When the switch-off operation needs to be carried out, the electromagnet of the shunt tripper can be electrically attracted to the armature by pressing the normally open button, then through the transmission mechanism to promote the free tripping mechanism, low-voltage circuit breaker tripping. The shunt tripping device is mainly used to open the switch at a long distance to control the open circuit. For example, in the removal of non-fire power supply in civil buildings, when the fire needs a power cut circuit, you can use the circuit breaker with shunt release, in order to enable the fire alarm system in the fire center through the control module or control cable remote trip circuit breakers to cut off such a load of power supply.
The internal structure of the shunt tripping device comprises an electromagnet, a movable device with a lever, a sliding sleeve, a pull spring, a pin and a slide block. When the current flows through the electromagnet, the electromagnet will produce a magnetic field, the effect of the magnetic field makes the moving device to be pushed, and then the spring will push the sliding sleeve, the slider will follow the slide. When the sliding sleeve is moved to a certain position, the slider is connected with the groove in the sliding sleeve. When the slider moves in the slot in the sliding sleeve, it pulls the pin out of the sleeve and places it on the lever of the movable device, thereby returning the movable device to its original position. Finally, when the movable device returns to the original position, the spring will reset the sliding sleeve and push the pin back into the sliding sleeve, and the slider will return to the original position, thus, the complete cycle of the one-time shunt trip can be realized.
In a word, the shunt release is a kind of device which can convert mechanical energy into electric energy and realize automatic control by using the magnetic field produced by electromagnet. Because of its simple structure, high reliability, not easy to damage, easy to operate, it is widely used in industrial control.
